I guess for now at least, its something I'm just going to have to live with until maybe I get lucky and someone who knows how to, makes the mod im looking for hehe. Yes, I was aware I could change the opacity but it still obscures your dials etc. Either that or a F5 hud with text that goes dark against a bright sky, or light against a dark sky.

Basically I think the F3 Hud is too tall. What I'm looking for is a nice skinny F3 hud. I feel that the moving part of the map inside the F3 hud could be shortened by half on the top to bottom axis without losing any information. Until they make the text auto contrasting, so it's visible against any background, the F5 hud is pretty flipping useless. It's that darn white lettering - it blends in with the sky, or any light colored train interior. I understand that the F5 hud is available but to be honest - its as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. There really is no need for F3 hud to be so tall and obscure all my dials etc. I'm looking for a skinnier F3 Hud than vanilla, and the one I mentioned above despite calling itself "minimal" is just the same blooming size in reality.
